Tuesday, December 10, 2002 what a day. i'm all over the place emotionally. i seem to go from being really, really happy and fulfilled to blacky-black despair. i'm all over the map today. i should explain further, and i will, just not today. did anyone hear about what trent lott had to say about the fact that mississippi voted for strom thurmond in '48 (!)? it just makes me ill to think that this is the man who will, more than likely, be senate majority leader again (!?) in a few short weeks. if you haven't heard what he had to say (mainly praising the dixiecrat platform of legal segregation and jim crow), it wouldn't surpise me (liberal media, my ass). such is the state of my country and culture. god help us all. i'm going to the UK to see my recently relocated family for new year's. i am so happy about this. i have absolutely got to get the fuck out of so-cal for a few, out of the country for a week or so that, were i not to do so, i would more than likely completely lose my shit. and, for cryin' out loud, you can smoke in bars (or pretty much anywhere else there) and such too. i can't wait. posted by downtown | 2:30 AM |
