i haven't posted much of late. oh well. there have been other things on my mind. i'll elaborate further in later posts.
right now i am trying to reconcile the perverse polarization of my two latest musical obsessions. one the one hand i am so in love with the beautiful, quiet, perfectly crafted folk-pop gems from a kill rock stars band called the decemberists. songs so damned lovely and catchy that diabetics should probably avoid them. just gorgeous. perfect. on the other hand i am so enjoying the scandinavian death punk sounds of turbonegro. lots of songs about ass sex and fighting. "don't say motherfucker, motherfucker" could be about the most perfectly obtuse rock song i have ever heard. i love it. i love both of these bands and often segue one with the other. it doesn't make any aesthetic sense to anyone but me i guess. i'm just a freak i suppose. anyhoo, i have tons to say about things that actually matter to the world at large. i'll be posting regularly again soon.
