wanton thuggery rampant in sligo

so reads the banner headline, above the fold, of sligo's daily paper today. i guess they knew we were coming.

well, arrived in dublin sunday and i was afforded the task of driving our 9 passenger van all the way to limerick. we stayed in a castle full of dogs and weirdness in rathkeale for two nights. i slept in a 14th century brittany bed in the tower. what a freakin' hoot.

we met one of the most brilliant men i have ever encountered in my life. he's the director of a gaelschool in newcastlewest and invited the crew to come down and sing for his kids the next morning on our way out of town. i'm not sure i have ever had this much fun. we had a hell of a show at shoot the crows in sligo last night and will be rocking the house at the linen hall arts centre in castlebar tonight. the town is covered in flyers for the show. hopefully we'll have a good crowd.

ireland is just as lovely as i left it last time. much drinking and debauchery. much honky tonk and rock and roll. life is good.

damned good.

pics soon.
